4 December 2020 – Many things were different this year – including the Bundesliga Media Days, which were once again successfully implemented by the DFL subsidiary DFL Digital Sports. From July to mid-September, in compliance with a strict hygiene concept, DFL Digital Sports set to work capturing the players and coaches of each club.
17,200 videos and 23,400 photoswere produced during the Media Days 2020/21
After weeks of shoots, as well as the follow-up shooting days in cooperation with the 18 clubs of the Bundesliga, the finalised content was distributed on time to international and national broadcasters, DFL partners and clubs – including ready-to-use and customisable material. In total, 17,200 videos and 23,400 photos were provided at the beginning of the 58th Bundesliga season.
In the end, the material is used in a number of ways for a variety of platforms, such as top match trailers, augmented reality team line-ups, virtual TV studios or GIFs for entertaining social media postings.
