The native of Paderborn, born in 1978, completed a degree in business administration at business-focused university Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (FHDW) in his home town, before earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Tampa (USA). After gaining some initial professional experience at adidas AG (Herzogenaurach), he joined Siemens Nixdorf AG, later Wincor-Nixdorf AG / Diebold Nixdorf AG, (Paderborn) in 2005, initially as Finance Manager and then becoming Financial Director, before moving to SC Paderborn 07 in the autumn of 2019. The A license-holder and active member of the Bund Deutscher Fußball-Lehrer (Association of German Football Coaches) has been a member of the Supervisory Board of DFL GmbH since the 2022 General Assembly.
