12 April 2021 – In Bundesliga 2, Holstein Kiel’s next two matches cannot go ahead as planned. As the club’s professional team has been ordered to self-isolate at home by the responsible health authority due to cases of COVID-19, the matches against Hannover 96 (originally Wednesday, 14 April) and at 1. FC Nürnberg (originally Saturday, 17 April) will be postponed. Holstein Kiel’s match against SSV Jahn Regensburg last weekend already had to be postponed for the same reason.

As announced, the DFL will decide on whether to postpone the matches between Hamburger SV and Karlsruher SC as well as Holstein Kiel and SV Sandhausen on Matchday 30 by the end of this week, taking into account the situation at the time. The professional teams of Karlsruhe and Sandhausen were also recently ordered to self-isolate at home by the responsible health authorities due to cases of COVID-19.

New dates for the matches are expected to be announced this week.
