SportsInnovation 2022: Renowned speakers from all over the world

09 May 2022 – The conference programme on the second day of SportsInnovation 2022 is a new feature introduced since the event in 2018. Renowned national and international speakers and panellists will be sharing insights on the stage, located in the grandstand of the stadium. Speakers come from a broad range of backgrounds, representing sport leagues, clubs, and the business and science communities, among others. Shelly Palmer – CEO Palmer Group

Shelly Palmer is the Professor of Advanced Media in Residence at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the CEO of The Palmer Group, a consulting practice that helps Fortune 500 companies with technology, media and marketing. Named LinkedIn’s “Top Voice in Technology,” he covers tech and business for the TV show Good Day New York, writes a weekly column for the newspage Adweek, and is a regular commentator on the TV channels CNN and CNBC. He’s the Co-Host of the award-winning podcast Techstream with Shelly Palmer & Seth Everett and he hosts the Shelly Palmer #CryptoWednesday Livestream.

Skarpi Hedinsson – Chief Technology Officer Los Angeles Rams

Skarpi Hedinsson joined the Los Angeles Rams in February of 2017 as the organization’s first Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Hedinsson oversees the team’s technology strategy, among other things. In addition to these roles, Hedinsson drove the vision for, and led the team that oversaw the implementation of technology throughout Hollywood Park, the 298-acre district being built by Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke. This included SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater, a 6,000-seat performance venue, as well as retail, commercial office space, and more than 20 acres of parkland. Prior to Hollywood Park and the Rams, Hedinsson was the Chief Technology Officer for Disney/ABC Television Group, where he oversaw efforts to identify innovative technology talent, capabilities, and platforms.

Tony Page – President Sport Experiences Deltatre

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Tony Page currently serves as President of Sport Experiences at Deltatre. He also sits on the supervisory board of Sportec Solutions – a joint venture between Deltatre and the DFL. Page is responsible for providing the best, most cutting-edge live and digital sports experiences for fans across the globe. A lifetime sports fan, impacting the way the world consumes content has been key to Page’s career, and since he joined the company, he’s witnessed huge changes within the digital, live and sports data spaces.

Emmanuelle Roger – Co-Founder & CEO Immersiv.io

Emmanuelle Roger co-founded Immersiv.io 6 years ago to build the future of the fan experience. Immersiv.io is now operating at an international scale, recognized for its expertise in Augmented Reality and awarded for its sports solutions ARISE. Passionate about innovation and creation, she has been working for more than 10 years with major players of the sports industry (UEFA, Bundesliga, NHL, Roland Garros, etc) to create and deliver experiences for millions of fans. Together with her team they work hard to anticipate the new opportunities Augmented Reality and the disruption of our interaction with the digital world will bring for sports fans.

Mario Reis – Director of Telecommunications Olympic Broadcasting Service (OBS)

Mario Reis ist an experienced director of telecommunications with a proven track record of working in the telecommunications and media industry. He specialises in mobile communications (3G, LTE, 5G) and mobile devices as well as transport and IP networks. Since 2010, Reis has been developing services for the broadcasting industry with a focus on transport networks for video, video distribution via satellite, cloud services and OTT delivery platforms. At the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, he led the teams carrying out the changeover for the first 5G live broadcast. Heads up the technical teams that are developing the OTT streaming platform and the go-to-market approach for cloud-based broadcast workflows for the holders of the rights to the Olympic Games.
