Dr Eric Huwer

Dr Eric Huwer was born on October 22, 1983, in Saarland and has been a member of the Board of HSV Fußball Management AG since January 2023. Prior to this, Huwer held various management positions at HSV for eight years.

He holds a doctorate in business administration and studied business administration in Saarbrücken and Valencia, completed a Master of Business Administration in sports management at the University of Bayreuth, and earned the FIFA Diploma in Club Management when it was first offered. He received his doctorate with summa cum laude honors for his research on accounting at professional soccer clubs. Before joining Hamburger SV in October 2014, Huwer had been working as a consultant to the Market Management Board at Allianz AG in Munich since 2013.

Dr Eric Huwer has been a member of the DFL Supervisory Board since September 2025.
