3 May 2021 – Now that Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have qualified for the final of the DFB-Pokal (Thursday, 13 May), DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga has postponed the two clubs’ Bundesliga matches on Matchday 33, previously scheduled for Saturday, 15 May, by one day to Sunday, 16 May. Dortmund will play 1. FSV Mainz 05 at 6 p.m. CEST. Leipzig will meet VfL Wolfsburg at 8:30 p.m. CEST.
As announced on 25 March, the move has been made to allow both teams sufficient recovery time after the DFB-Pokal final.
A new date has also been announced for a postponed match in Bundesliga 2: Holstein Kiel will host SSV Jahn Regensburg at 3:30 p.m. CEST on Thursday, 13 May, which is a holiday in Germany.
