DFL sets fixtures for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 up to Matchday 21

  • FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Mönchengladbach to open second half of the Bundesliga season

7 November 2019 – Today, the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga announced the exact schedules for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches up to and including Matchday 21 of the current 2019-20 season.

In the Bundesliga, FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Mönchengladbach will open the second half of the season on Friday, 17 January 2020 (8:30 p.m. CET).

The Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 will sync up again on Matchday 19 as Bundesliga 2 returns from the winter break a little later than the Bundesliga – as in the previous two seasons – with mid-week matches from 28 to 30 January 2020. The new year will then kick off with the encounter between DSC Arminia Bielefeld and VfL Bochum 1848 on Tuesday, 28 January 2020 (6:30 p.m. CET). Matchdays 20 to 34 of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 will then be held on the same weekends until the end of the season on 16/17 May 2020.

The next exact schedules for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are expected to be announced in calendar week 51, between 16 and 20 December, after the end of the group stages of the European club competitions.
