DFL releases exact schedule for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fixtures until mid-March 2023

15 November 2022 – Today, DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga released the exact schedule for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches until mid-March 2023. Fixtures for the current 2022-23 season have now been set for Matchdays 20-25 in both leagues.

The matches scheduled include the head-to-head between European competitors RB Leipzig and 1. FC Union Berlin on Matchday 20 (Saturday, 11 February, 6:30 p.m. CET). This is just a few hours after the Baden-Württemberg matchup between Sport-Club Freiburg and VfB Stuttgart (3:30 p.m. CET). The fixtures set for Matchday 21 include the match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Bayern München (Saturday, 18 February, 3:30 p.m. CET), before the teams currently third and fourth in the table meet on Matchday 22, with Leipzig playing host to Eintracht Frankfurt (Saturday, 25 February, 3:30 p.m. CET). Matchday 24 will see the “Revierderby” between FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund taking place (Saturday, 11 March, 6:30 p.m. CET).

In Bundesliga 2, Matchday 20 features an encounter between the sides currently in third and in second place: 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 and Hamburger SV (Saturday, 11 February, 8:30 p.m. CET). The next day will bring matches including the duel between FC St. Pauli and 1. FC Kaiserslautern (Sunday, 12 February, 1:30 p.m. CET). On Matchday 22, current table-topper SV Darmstadt 98 will play host to Hamburger SV (Saturday, 25 February, 8:30 p.m. CET). The Lower Saxony derby between Eintracht Braunschweig and Hannover 96 will take place on Matchday 25 (Saturday, 18 March, 1:00 p.m. CET).

The next batch of exact fixtures for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 is expected to be announced in calendar week 9 of the new year (27 February to 3 March 2023) following the draw for the next round of the UEFA club competitions.
