15 April 2021 – On Thursday, DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga announced new dates for the recently postponed Bundesliga 2 matches involving Holstein Kiel, Karlsruher SC and SV Sandhausen. The players in these three professional teams were recently ordered by the health authorities responsible to self-isolate at home due to cases of COVID-19.

New dates have been announced for, among others, Holstein Kiel’s recently postponed matches against 1. FC Nürnberg (Tuesday, 27 April, 6:30 p.m. CEST), SV Sandhausen (Tuesday, 4 May, 6:30 p.m. CEST) and Hannover 96 (Monday, 10 May, 6 p.m. CEST). The also recently postponed fixture between Holstein Kiel and SSV Jahn Regensburg will – depending on how Holstein Kiel perform in the DFB-Pokal and other factors – be rescheduled for some time after the semi-final against Borussia Dortmund taking place on 1 May.

Karlsruher SC’s three matches against FC Erzgebirge Aue (Monday, 26 April, 6 p.m. CEST), Hamburger SV (Thursday, 29 April, 6:30 p.m. CEST) and Fortuna Düsseldorf (Monday, 3 May, 8:30 p.m. CEST) have also been rescheduled.

In addition to the match against Kiel, SV Sandhausen’s two other recently postponed matches against Hamburger SV (Thursday, 22 April, 8:30 p.m. CEST) and SpVgg Greuther Fürth (Wednesday, 28 April, 6:30 p.m. CEST) have been rescheduled.

The rescheduling of these fixtures meant that some matches already scheduled for matchdays 30 and 31 also had to be moved to make way for the new fixtures in the remaining schedule. Specifically, this concerns the matches between Fortuna Düsseldorf and FC St. Pauli on Matchday 30, which will now take place on Wednesday, 21 April (6:30 p.m. CEST), one day earlier than originally scheduled. Two matches on Matchday 31 have been rescheduled. The match between SC Paderborn 07 and Fortuna Düsseldorf will now take place on Saturday, 24 April (1 p.m. CEST), while the match between SSV Jahn Regensburg and Hamburger SV will now take place on Sunday, 25 April (1:30 p.m. CEST). The match between VfL Osnabrück and Holstein Kiel will now also be played on Saturday, 24 April (1 p.m. CEST), while the match between SV Darmstadt 98 and VfL Bochum 1848 has now been rescheduled for Monday, 26 April (8:30 p.m CEST).

As usual, all Bundesliga 2 matches can be viewed live on Sky.
