5 December 2025 – The Bundesliga and streaming service Samsung TV Plus have teamed up to provide fans in the UK and Ireland with a dedicated Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channel. This will be the first-ever FAST channel for the Bundesliga, marking a significant step in the league’s expanding presence in the UK and Ireland.
The new media partnership, which will run as a multi-year agreement, brings the best of Bundesliga football directly to fans’ screens, subscription-free. Fans can tune in for live action, including Friday night Bundesliga matches and select Bundesliga 2 games, along with a rich mix of highlights, interviews, press conferences, and behind-the-scenes content.
The new channel, which launched on 3 December 2025, will be available 24/7, offering comprehensive coverage of the Bundesliga and a host of additional content that will deepen fans’ connection to the league. The channel will feature:
- All Friday night Bundesliga matches live, starting with tonight’s 1. FSV Mainz 05 vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach game (kick-off 19:30 GMT)
- One live Bundesliga 2 match per kick-off slot (Friday 17:30, Saturday 12:00 and 19:30, Sunday 12:30 – all times GMT)
- Iconic Bundesliga moments, classic matches, legendary players, and in-depth documentaries
- A treasure trove of Bundesliga content from one of the largest media hubs in the world, with hours of archive content chronicling the rich history of the league
- Exclusive behind-the-scenes features, press conferences, and player interviews
The launch is made possible through a partnership with Samsung TV Plus, one of the world’s largest streaming services, and Wurl, a leader in the free ad-supported streaming TV industry that powers content distribution and monetisation, and will help facilitate the setup of the Bundesliga channel on the Samsung TV Plus platform. Fans in the UK and Ireland can access the channel on Samsung TV Plus, which is available subscription-free on Samsung TVs, Galaxy and Samsung Smart Monitor devices.
The launch of this free-to-view channel will feed the growing appetite for Bundesliga content in the UK and Ireland, especially as England’s captain Harry Kane continues to make waves in the league ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The Bundesliga’s expanding presence in the territory is a clear response to the growing interest in high-quality football from the German top-flight and its star players.
“Our approach is as diverse as our fans – and this FAST channel is the next proof of that,” said Peer Naubert, Chief Executive Officer of Bundesliga International. “With a Bundesliga channel on Samsung TV Plus, we’re taking another step in how the Bundesliga can be experienced in the UK: free, live and closer than ever before.
“Following the strong response to our new UK partnerships earlier this year, we’re proud to expand our footprint once again. This launch shows that the Bundesliga doesn’t just talk about innovation – we deliver it, bringing world-class football to fans wherever they are.”
This distribution model represents a key milestone in the Bundesliga’s commitment to delivering top-tier content to UK football fans, a strategy outlined in previous press releases. With innovative partnerships and the ability to reach fans across a range of platforms, the Bundesliga continues to push the boundaries of sport broadcasting and engagement, bringing the action closer to fans than ever before.
“Launching a dedicated Bundesliga channel is another exciting step in deepening our partnerships and investments across premium sports content at Samsung TV Plus. Fans can now experience weekly live matches, behind-the-scenes access, and real stories that celebrate the heart of Bundesliga, 24/7,” said Gus Grimaldi, Head of Samsung TV Plus EMEA.
