Tech Operations Manager (m/f/d)

To support and continue the successful development of the company, we need you to join us at our Cologne location.

Working closely with other teams such as Product Management, Software Development, Business Analytics and Content teams, you’ll provide leadership for the AWS based cloud operations of the DFL’s products and services

What you can expect from the playing field:
• Maintain good performance (speed, uptime, security, cost) of all of DFL´s core products and services
• Manage a team of both internal colleagues and external suppliers, SaaS and contract developers/operators
• Work with QA and software teams to help define delivery process and workflows
• Utilise key data from monitoring systems, user tracking, operational performance, functional compliance, product performance metrics to inform on the overall performance
• of our products in a meaningful measurable way
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation to inform on operational management
• Recognise opportunities for learning and improvement of products and services
• Collaborate with other teams to improve technical excellence
• Build solutions to measure system and product performance

What you should have in your kit bag:
• At least 3 years working in the operations area
• Experience with at least one cloud solutions provider such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Development experience with Java, JavaScript / NodeJS or other similar languages
• Experience in Application Performance Management (APM) tools like Instana, New Relic or AppDynamics
• Experience with Linux
• Expertise in operations monitoring
• Proven experience communicating across teams, departments and suppliers
• Understanding of Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment
• Understanding of internet security
• Knowledge of Docker based containerization of software
• Knowledge of Microservice architecture
• Experience in agile product development
• Fluent in written and spoken English
