Bundesliga International GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH and is responsible for the global marketing of the commercial rights owned by Bundesliga. Bundesliga International GmbH’s three business segments – Audiovisual Rights, Commercial Partnerships and International Marketing, Digital & Communications – all pursue the clear goal of strengthening Bundesliga’s market position on a sustained basis and of expanding all the marketing activities relating to professional football. Within the DFL-Group, the Commercial Partnership Team is working with market leaders such as AWS, Derbystar, EA, Milka, Sorare, Tipico or Topps and is eager to further grow and develop this partnership network.

Senior Sales Manager (m/w/d) Commercial Partnerships
Your task:
- In close coordination with the Director Commercial Partnerships and in cooperation with the (Senior) Managers Licensing and Sponsoring, the Senior Sales Manager C.P. will lead various sales processes (tenders and/or bilateral negotiations) with existing or potential new commercial partners.
- His focus will therefore be on increasing the department’s revenue by selling high value sponsorship and licensing packages to global and/or regional partners.
- Identify the most promising partnership opportunities in collaboration with the Commercial Partnerships team and all relevant DFL stakeholders.
- Building and continuously updating a prospect list utilising his network and experience, but also using macro and micro market trends, in-depth product knowledge and a deep understanding of brand marketing in identifying relevant customers, industries and additional regions for collaborations.
- Creating customised and compelling sales materials for different industries and customers.
- Building strong relationships with potential customers across all possible customer touchpoints, e.g. via phone, email, LinkedIn, networking events and meetings.
- Representing and presenting the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 to the wider market, utilising b2b marketing activities to identify sales leads.
- Initiating and organising
Alongside enthusiasm for sport in general and football in particular, you should also demonstrate the following abilities:

- Reliability, loyalty and conscientiousness
Your profile:
- You have a degree in business administration, sports management or sports economics with a focus on marketing, communication, media or international management or have completed a comparable degree programme.
- You have several years of relevant professional experience in the area of licensing/marketing of licence rights and marketing as well as additional knowledge in the areas of merchandising, sports business and sponsoring.
- You are an excellent team player with a strong service mentality, whose strengths include a structured and conscientious way of working and strong intercultural skills.
- Sound knowledge of project management, excellent MS Office skills and excellent written and spoken English round off your profile.
