New striker for Marko Kurz
Ilian Micanski has transferred to 1. FC Kaiserslautern for the 2010/11 season. The 24-year old Bulgarian comes from Polish side Zaglebie Lubin.
He has signed a four-year contract, with Lautern, who will be playing in the Bundesliga this year after winning the 2. Bundesliga in 2009/10.
Looking forward to the season
Micanski played 28 games for Lubin in the Polish Ekstraklasa last season. Micanski: "After a very good talk with Stefan Kuntz and Marco Kurz, it made sense to come to 1. FC Kaiserslautern. FCK is a club with a great tradition and great fans- I'm looking forward to the new season.”
"Ilian has a good goalscoring record and came across as nice person in the interviews. We're happy that he has chosen to come to Kaiserslautern”, said FCK's Chairman Stefan Kuntz.
