Frings on the road to recovery
Torsten Frings has 370 Bundesliga appearances under his belt, in which he has scored 43 goals
Former Germany international Torsten Frings has resumed training at Werder Bremen for the first time since undergoing a groin operation two weeks ago.

The tough-tackling 33-year-old midfielder completed a running session on Monday and will travel with the north coast side to their training camp in Bad Woltersdorf/Austria on Thursday, where he aims to get back into squad training again.

”No more problems”

"I'm feeling really good, I have no more problems”, said Frings, who hopes he might even see a few minutes of action in next Saturday's friendly with Hungarian outfit Szombathelyi Haladas, but: "That's down to the coach. I'm just happy to be back in the picture again.”

Going through his paces alongside Frings on Monday was central defender Naldo, who has recovered from a calf problem. Midfielder Daniel Jensen meanwhile was back training with the rest of the squad for the first time since preparations got underway. "I'm hoping to be fit for the start of the season, but it's obviously going to take longer than a few days”, said the Danish international, who has been plagued by an Achilles tendon injury in recent weeks.
